Guys,

This is to clarify our playoff format used for the Mens division this season. In all other seasons before we always had the #2 seed play the winner of #3 vs #6 and the #1 seed play the winner of #4 vs #5. The previous format by the way is still used for the girls team this season due to the limited number of teams they have. Our new format, patterned after the PFFL and was disseminated out to everyone in the original schedule I sent out in March (check your email!) and posted in the CFFL blog ( http://cebuflagfootball.blogspot.com ) is as follows :

# 1 seed plays the LOWEST SEED to advance after the quarterfinals.
# 2 seed plays the HIGHEST SEED to advance after the quarterfinals.

The quarterfinals is as follows :

#3 Cocks vs #6 Sherdogs
#4 Flamingos vs #5 Superman

Hence :

If (#3) Cocks win then
(#1) Sharks plays winner of (#4) Flamingos vs (#5) superman
(#2) Rebels plays (#3)Cocks

If (#6) Sherdogs win then
(#1) Sharks plays (#6) Sherdogs
(#2) Rebels plays winner of (#4) Flamingos vs (#5) Superman.

I hope this clarifies our new format which was agreed upon BEFORE the season started.

Please take note that because of our recent reffing problems we have decided to have 2 teams ref a game. The number beside the name of the team under the stats and ref column denotes the number of quality refs teams must send to ref or do stats. For each game we will be requiring a total of 4 players to man the table. 2 to do stats, 1 to do the clock and 1 more to hold the mic and do voice overs. This is to ensure that the clock is announced regulary and the clock is manned by someone who knows when to start and stop the clock.

Teams who fail to send then required number of Refs/Statisticians will FORFEIT THE NEXT PLAYOFF GAME

And yes it is not a typo error. The girls WILL ref the 8am guys game to be assisted by 1 male head ref (TBA). Its about time girls learn to Ref!Schedule is broken down into 2hour intervals. Because we are in the playoffs, take note that if the previous game finishes early, the next scheduled game will start on time, not before the scheduled time, ie... if the 9AM game is finished by 10AM, then the 11AM game starts at 11AM not 10AM!!!

We have more than enough daylight and I have made adjustments to the Superbowl schedule so we wont run out of daylight again as in the past.

Harry
