The Norkis Yamaha 7-on-7 Cebu Flag Football League officially opened the new season last Saturday with a bang. The LaserArt Sharks started off a well-defined 20-6 win over the Browning and Sol Cocks. Defending Men’s Champions The Vudu pink Flamingos, on the contrary, surprisingly lost to the Pyroworks Rebels with a disappointing 13-6 score. In addition, the Supermen defeated the Piranhas at 13-7.
In the Women’s category, Alpha Lipton Hot Teas impressively scored 24-2 against the Supergirls, bringing them on the top spot in the league’s over-all standings for the Women’s teams. Veteran player Maricar Cabania scored an inspiring interception/touchdown; other touchdowns were garnered by Pkoi Oplado, Blessie delos Santos and Faith Fuentes. The defending champions, the LaserArt Sharkettes conquered the UV Lancers Dark Angels, 20-0. Moreover, Pyroworks Bombshells and Chargers finished with a 7-7 draw.

Games will continuously run every Saturday, until December 2; however, will have a break for the Boracay Tournament on the 28th of October. Venue will still be in San Roque Parish for the next two Saturdays and after which, will be moved to Camp Lapu-Lapu in Apas, Lahug. KUU
